About Me

Raised and educated internationally in Canadian, Hong Kong, Australian, and British systems, with 10+ years flying experience ranging from single-engine floatplanes to Boeing 747 jumbo jets into major airports around the world. Bridging my multicultural background with my flying experience, I have realised that there is a need to revamp aviation training and safety management programs to suit multicultural and cross-cultural teams. I am conducting PhD-level academic research on developing methods to improve training outcomes by considering trainees' cultural characteristics.

I am a Boeing 747/777 pilot, Crew Resource Management Trainer, and Multi-Crew Coordination course developer for a major international airline in Hong Kong. I am on the expert panel for the International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations (IFALPA) Pilot Profession Working Group, and is a member of the Hong Kong ALPA Technical and Safety Committee. Academically, I hold an MSc in Aviation Human Factors from Coventry University, is conducting PhD research at the Cranfield University Safety & Accident Investigation Centre, and lectures Aviation Human Factors at the University of South Australia and RMIT University.
